Dear colleagues,

Agricultural Research Center under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with European partners will hold an international conference on “Agricultural Forecasting: Challenges for Developing Countries” in hybrid format in Baku on June 22-23, 2023.

The main aim of the conference is to share knowledge and experience with other countries of the world on modeling and forecasting methods applied in the agricultural sector of developed countries, to increase access to research and analysis tools in this field, and to organize a platform serving to enhance international and regional cooperation in research.

The conference will include discussions during which participants will receive information and practical knowledge about models and forecasting methods applied by the European Union countries in the agricultural sector, as well as about the experience, conceptual approaches and existing practices in the field of agricultural modeling and forecasting in other countries.

The work of the conference is expected to be organized in the following sections:

Presentations by government officials and representatives of international organizations on the topic;

Presentations of methods and tools of forecasting applied by developed countries and international organizations;

Current situation, experience and initiatives in this field in developing countries, especially in the countries of the region;

Discussion of the results of studies conducted by researchers using methods and tools of agricultural forecasting.
