Our compatriots living in China took an active part in the election of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
19.02.2024 /Our compatriot, Doctor of Geology and Mineralogy, Professor, Academician Elchin Khalilov, living in the People's Republic of China, gave an interview to Vyshka newspaper about participation of our compatriots living in China in the election of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan held on February 7, 2024. Noting that our compatriots took part in the election with great enthusiasm and voted for a happy and prosperous future of Azerbaijan, the academician stressed that transparent and well-organized election is an example for the world democracy. The unanimity and enthusiasm of our compatriots in China in this election showed great trust in and gratitude to the incumbent head of state.
During his visit to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China, E. Khalilov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of our country Bunyad Huseynov and told him about his activities in China and steps taken towards the development of cooperation between the scientific community, scientific and educational institutions of the two countries. The academician also spoke in detail about the 8th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Robotics (ICR 2023), which was held on October 25-29, 2023 at the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the direct participation of Wenzhou University of the People's Republic of China and the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Note that E. Khalilov was invited to the People's Republic of China as the winner of the "State National Talent Program" and has been living there since 2022. The academician received the status of "National Top Level Talent" as the winner of the "National Talent Contest" and was included in the State Talent Register of the People's Republic of China. He is currently in charge of a number of academic programs at Wenzhou University and a senior research department of the university.
