Significant scientific results based on the research conducted at the Institute of Control Systems in 2014:

1. Hybrid information technologies that substantially increase cost-effectiveness of oil wells by identifying their dynamometer cards in real time and allow for adaptive control in the most beneficial economic mode.

2. Using combinations of time variations of the noise characteristics of seismic-acoustic information in the network of 10 stations built in 2010-2014, an intelligent system for determining the focus area of the seismic process 10-20 hours before an expected earthquake has been developed. The system can be used as a toolset by seismologists.

3. Algorithms of digital measuring by wattmeter cards w(t) and dynamometer cards P(s) of the pumping cycle of a pumping unit with higher frequency [f ≥ 1000 Hz] and their identification by means of the robust noise technology to determine the beginning of origin of surface and underground faults of wells operated by sucker rod pumps.

4. Newer, more accurate and faster, compared with the existing methods, algorithms and systems for measuring the well flow rate.

5. Neural network based method for determining the minimal magnitude of expected earthquakes as a result of anomalous seismic processes has been developed.

6. For statistical analysis of large-scale arrays, when the number of unknown parameters can grow up, the universal approach for construction of a confident band for unknown function and finding an optimal number of unknown parameters is proposed. The obtained results can be applied in various fields.

7. Step-wise priorities depending on the state of the queue system have been determined; effective methods of optimization of characteristics of queue systems with such priorities have been developed.

8. A hybrid method for identification of cyclic signals has been proposed. The method is based on the position-binary method and dynamic time warping method. It has been demonstrated that the hybrid method improves the quality of identification of cyclic signals, thereby ensuring improved accuracy of control and diagnostics for objects operating in cyclic mode.

9. Evaluation models for the development of quality of the national economy and relevant mathematical methods have been proposed.

10. Equilibrium price index of the intergovernmental debt has been developed, and depending on the value of this index, the equilibrium development of the situation, level of propensity to crises of financial or real sectors.

11. Models and software packages for indicating the latent period of transition of industrial construction projects into the state of emergency while in operation have been created.

12. The statement and approach to the numerical solution to the problem of synthesis of optimal control for monitoring of the plant output, which are described by a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations with inadequately given information on the values of object parameters. The necessary optimality conditions with formulas for the gradient of objective functional have been obtained.

13. Two approaches to the numerical solution of one class of coefficient inverse problems have been proposed and substantiated for linear parabolic and hyperbolic equations with non-local initial or boundary conditions, in which identifiable coefficients depend on either spatial or temporary variable. The use of both methods does not require iterative procedures, unlike the known approaches.

14. An approach has been proposed and substantiated for a numerical solution to the coefficient inverse problem derived from the problem of identification of drag coefficient of the linear section of pipeline during transportation of hydrocarbon crude in a unsteady flow mode and described by a system of differential hyperbolic equations

15. A numerical method using the specifics of the system and boundary conditions for numerical solution to systems of linear differential equations of high dimensionality (about several hundreds) and block-like structure, all subsystems of which are interconnected only by non-local undivided boundary conditions, has been developed.

16. A hybrid approach for semantic analysis of texts based on a hidden Markov model and neuro-fuzzy models has been proposed. A novel Pruned ICF Weighting Coefficient has been proposed for calculating the vectors of indicators during recognition of the meaning of a text.

17. Necessary optimality conditions for special controls in optimal control problems of Rosser type have been obtained.

20. New theoretical models have been developed for preliminary forecasting and management of possibility of self-similar structures with fractal characteristics, at structural changes of oil-gas saturation porous environments as a result of external non-stationary influences at replacement of residual oil by means of other liquids.

21. A new more efficient OFJP (Optimal-time FJP) algorithm to solve clustering problems based on fuzzy neighborhood relations has been proposed, and it has been proven that the proposed algorithm has n2 time higher calculation speed than the known basic FJP algorithm.

22. A new method for finding the optimal solution to the mixed-integer programming problem with one restriction has been developed.

23. The mathematical model of fluid flow and impregnation on the surface of the soil. An algorithm has been proposed and a software module has been developed for solving the system of equations describing the model.

24. A method of organization of monitoring with the use of times series and modern biostatistical methods has been proposed to predict potential consequences of poisoning by carbon monoxide and 15 chemical substances with similar symptoms (nervous disorders, myocardial infarctions, Parkinson’s disease, etc.). The method was successfully tested at the Toxicology Department of the No 1 Clinical Hospital of Baku.

25. A new structure and a mathematical model of the automated intelligent system with access to a global network structure, providing high performance and reliability parameters of the fuel in the new structure, have been developed.

The Dirichlet problem in the non-classical interpretation has been substantiated for one pseudoparabolic equation generalizing Boussinesg-Love equation that describe lateral waves in thin elastic nail with the allowance for the effects of transversal inertia; a new solution method has been developed for them.

29. The contact-boundary problem in the non-classical interpretation has been substantiated for one pseudoparabolic equation generalizing Aller equations, Mangeron equations and other model equations and a new solution method has been developed for them.

30. In order to determine the reliability of the exploited hydro land reclaiming and irrigation systems and installations to ensure soil reclamation and irrigation water and to increase their effectiveness, the principles of scientific and practical application of the probability and reliability theories have been developed.

31. The optimal control problem of singular stochastic switching systems have been investigated. Transversality condition for switching law has been obtained, and second order necessary condition of optimality has been proved.

32. A new nonlinear heat equation has been proposed for perfect gases and its precise solutions based on the theory of Lie groups have been given.
