Main research areas | Building mathematical models that ensure reliable operation of technological and ecological systems and their integration with information-measuring technical means, modeling of migration of pollutants in natural environments, dynamics of turbulent convective diffusion processes in the atmosphere and hydrosphere, studying dynamic processes of exogenous origin, developing theoretical methods of forecasting natural disasters and minimizing their consequences and creating of software complexes for forecasting and studying stable and unstable processes in these objects. |
Main scientific achievements | - Developing mathematical and computer models for the operational processing and use of a large amount of complex structure data obtained during the environmental monitoring of the effects of natural and anthropogenic disasters, creating theoretical expert systems to summarize the results and predict future environmental conditions. Operational system analysis of the current state of research objects, construction of mathematical models for the most general case, development of methods to ensure stable and reliable operation of technical systems in extreme situations, development of accounting algorithms and appropriate software packages; - The most general mathematical models of the propagation of non-stationary thermomechanical waves in viscoelastic media with complex rheology have been created; - Mathematical models of the processes of obtaining polymer-based composite materials have been built, the theoretical foundations for obtaining new materials with the necessary properties based on these models, identifying and controlling their physical and chemical parameters have been developed; - Mathematical models of mudflows and floods have been created, models for predicting the processes of change of the land reserve of the geographical area as a result of landslides and avalanches have been developed; - Theoretical models and technologies have been created that allow controlling the level of groundwater to prevent soil salination in the sown areas. |
