Состоялось юбилейное мероприятие, посвященное 50-летию Института Систем Управления НАНА

The session dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of ANAS was held on 22 May 2015 at the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS.
Foreign guests, representatives of the state agencies of Azerbaijan, members of the Physics, Mathematics and Engineering Department of ANAS, scientists and specialists of institutes and organizations of ANAS, representatives of the republic’s higher educational institutions, mass media representatives took part in the event.
In his opening speech, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Acad. Akif Alizade said that the Institute was the Academy’s leading scientific research institution in the field of development of real control and management systems for main branches of the Azerbaijan economy.
President of ANAS also pointed out the invaluable role of the Institute in the formation of informatics as a science and personnel training in this field.
Director of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS Acad. Telman Aliev made a report on the ICS establishment and development stages, providing detailed information on the research and organizational activity of the Institute in the last 10 years.
A short documentary highlighting the 50 years’ history of Institute was demonstrated at the event.
Deputy Minister of the Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade, spoke about the promising priorities of development of information and telecommunication technologies in our country.
Academic Secretary of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Information Technologies Acad. Rasim Aliguliyev spoke about the topical academic problems of e-government.
Chairperson of the State Student Admission Commission Meleyke Abbaszade, Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Constructio, Member of Milli Mejlis Gulchokhra Mamedova, Professor of the Lomonosov Moscow State Institute Nikolay Filimonov, President of the Arctic Academy of Sciences Valery Mitko, Head of Software Department of the International Atom Energy Agency Bakhtiyar Sirajov, Dean of 9 Eylul University (Izmir, Turkey) Efendi Nasibov and others also took floor, sharing their opinions on the research work and achievements of the Institute.
After the session, the exhibition hall and scientific research laboratories of the Institute of Control Systems were demonstrated to the foreign guests.
