The annual report of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Engineering was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences on 27 December, 2011. The meeting was opened by the academic secretary of the DRME Academician Akif Hajiyev. Reports on the scientific research works at the institutes of the ANAS in 2011 were delivered by Deputy Director for Science of the Physics Institute of the ANAS, Corresponding Member of the ANAS J.Sh. Guliyev, Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics S.A. Aliyev, Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, Honored Science Worker, Corresponding Member of the ANAS A.A. Garibov.
