Academician Asaf Hajiyev spoke at Koç University in Istanbul

Academician of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, professor Asaf Hajiyev, Head of "Stochastic control and applied statistics” Laboratory of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, was invited by the Mathematics Department of Koç University in Istanbul to speak on "Application of the probability theory in transportation problems”. Delivering his speech on 14 March, Prof. Hajiyev told the audience about the wide use of the probability theory. Several unexpected (paradoxical) results in transportation problems from the viewpoint of the probability theory have been discussed. The speech was attended by professors and teachers, post-doctoral and Master’s degree students of different departments of the university.
