“Innovation activity and science commercialization” seminar

"Innovation activity and science commercialization” seminar took place at that Central Scientific Library of ANAS on 18 November 2016. The seminar of the Physics, Mathematics and Engineering Division was held on the initiative of the Innovation Department of the Presidium of ANAS and with the organizational support of the Young Scientists and Specialists Council and the Copyright and Patent Law Department.

Head of the Innovation Department Vugar Babayev, PhD in Agricultural Sciences, informed the participants about the work carried out in the field of science commercialization, successful reforms in the Academy. He appealed to the scientists and specialists of the division to take a more active part in the future activities of the High Tech Park and bring forward their own innovation ideas and proposals.

Chief specialist of the Innovation Department Samir Veliyev made a report on science commercialization and innovation activity; Head of Copyright and Patents Department of ANAS Sadig Nabiyev spoke about the role of patents and licenses in the commercialization of science; director of international programs and projects of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction Arif Najimov shared their experience of participation in international programs and projects.

Leading research officer of the Institute of Control Systems Elkhan Sabziyev, PhD in Mathematics, research officers of the Foreign Relations and Innovation Department Aygun Aliyeva, Sevinj Babayeva and Sayara Hidayatzade also participated in the seminar.
