Academician Asaf Hajiyev went on a scientific business trip at the invitation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

Academician Asaf Hajiyev visited Sofia on July 3-5, 2024 on a business trip at the invitation of the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Speaking at the Institute's seminar on "Control Problems in Queueing Systems with Moving Devices", A. Hajiyev updated the seminar participants on the latest results and existing problems in this field.

Then, discussions were held between Academician Asaf Hajiyev, well-known scientist in the field of probability theory, author of several important works Prof. Jordan Stojanov and well-known scientist in the field of computer statistics Prof. Vyacheslav Valev on the solution of modern scientific problems in the mentioned fields.

As part of his visit Asaf Hajiyev met with the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Academician Yulian Revalski. At the meeting they discussed the prospects of joint cooperation, noted the importance of the Conference of Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the Black Sea countries, held in 2024 on the initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, and the next meeting scheduled for 2025. Y. Revalski invited Academician A. Hajiyev to the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, scheduled for October 2024.
