6th International Conference on Control and Optimization with Industrial Applications started

The VI International Conference on Control and Optimization with Industrial Applications (COIA-2018) started its work on 11 July with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT) and the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Baku State University.

About 250 scientists and researchers from around the world are attending the event. Representing the Institute of Control Systems, Director of the Institute Academician Telman Aliev also participates in the conference.

Opening the conference, Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade spoke about the dynamic development of the feld of information and communication technologies in the world.

Then the rector of the Baku State University, Academician Abel Maharramov said that optimization and control are one of the most important and topical areas of science in the world.

Director of the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Baku State University Academician Fikrat Aliyev spoke about the history and importance of the conference. Then a congratulatory letter from a renowned professor of the University of Illinois (US) Tamer Başar was read to the conference. Ukrainian scientist, Professor Vladimir Larin and others spoke at the event and wished success to the conference.

Scientifc and theoretical results in industry and economy will be discussed at the two-day international event.
