Academician Asaf Hajiyev participated in an international conference

Academician Asaf Hajiyev delivered a plenary paper at the International Conference held at the City University of Hong Kong (MMR-2019, Mathematical Models in Reliability - 2019) on 3-7 June 2019. More than 300 scientists from 25 countries (USA, Japan, England, France, Scotland, etc.) took part in the conference.
In his paper, A. Hajiyev proposed a new statistical approach to assessing the reliability of energy pipelines.
On 4 June, A. Hajiyev met with the President of the City University, Professor Way Kiple. The meeting was devoted to the issues of cooperation between the City University, ANAS and the Baku State University. Professor Way Kiple presented his book "The American Way in China's Higher Education" to A. Hajiyev.
On 5 June, the academician met with the Dean of the College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong Houmin Yan, and the Director of Global Engagement Office David Cheng. During the meeting, the information was given about grants for researchers in these sections of the City University and it was discussed how Azerbaijani scientists and students can take advantage of these grants.
On the last day of the conference, A. Hajiyev delivered a plenary report “Kolmogorov Stories”.
