Academician Telman Aliyev participated in the First Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenistan

The First Caspian Economic Forum took place in the Avaza national tourist zone in Turkmenistan on 11-12 August 2019.
The forum was attended by delegations of the Caspian states, heads and members of governments, heads of coastal regions and regional executive bodies, representatives of the banking sector and businesses of the Caspian region and interested countries, scientists, researchers and heads of companies involved in economic development.
The agenda of the First Caspian Economic Forum included the development of trade and economic relations, in particular, creating conditions for large projects, the role of the economy of the Caspian region in a global context, discussion of the investment attractiveness of such sectors as oil and gas, energy, transport, trade, agriculture, tourism and other areas of mutual interest to the littoral states. The forum also hosted an international conference, the Caspian Exhibition of Innovative Technologies, as well as meetings of representatives of business circles and companies.
Director of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS Academician Telman Aliev made a presentation on the topic “Safety Issues in the Operation of Oil and Gas Facilities in the Caspian Region” at the 6th thematic session “Cooperation in the Field of Scientific Research in the Caspian Region” of the Forum on 12 August. In his speech, T. Aliev addressed the following topics:
1. Developing intelligent systems ensuring the safety of operation of oil and gas facilities, communications and infrastructure;
2. Developing systems of warning about the beginning of emergency state of drilling rigs;
3. Developing a system for monitoring the latent period of changes in the technical condition and seismic stability of oil and gas facilities during strong hurricane winds and seismic processes;
4. Developing an intelligent system of warning about the beginning of seismic processes in the areas of oil and gas facilities.
A special focus was put to the safety of communications and infrastructure in solving logistics problems in the East-West transport corridor.
Telman Aliev's speech aroused great interest, and the participants noted the relevance of the issues raised. T. Aliev also gave interviews to representatives of the television and major Turkmen mass media.
