Head of Modeling of Environmental Processes Laboratory at the Institute of Control Systems, a prominent scientist and wonderful person, Associate Professor Robert Kayaev, PhD in Engineering, passed away at the age of 80 after a severe, prolonged illness.
Robert Karayev was one of the leading scientists in the field of development of modern technologies for modeling the environmental support of oil and gas projects of the Caspian shelf.
Robert Karayev’s many achievements in science include:
• Assessment of the environmental impact of the contract area;
• Assessment of the environmental impact of the contract area in a transboundary context;
• Environmental impact assessment of oil and gas projects;
• Theoretical foundations, methodologies and intelligent modeling tools for solving issues of environmental project management
Robert Karaev was a talented scientist, kind-hearted, compassionate person and was highly esteemed by his colleagues.
