First meeting of the Work Group on scientific-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus took place on 14 November 2016

The first meeting of the Work Group on scientific-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus took place held at the Presidium of ANAS on 14 November 2016. At the meeting, the parties discussed development mechanisms and prospects of cooperation in the field of innovation. Head of the Work Group for Belarus, the first deputy chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Andrei Kosovski, members of the Belarusian delegation, and representatives of ANAS, including Director of the Institute of Control Systems Acad. Telman Aliev, head of laboratory, Doctor of Engineering Gambar Guliyev, head of department, Tofig Babayev, PhD in Engineering, head of laboratory, Adalat Pashayev, PhD in Engineering, leading Elkhan Sabziyev, PhD in Engineering, took part in the meeting.

Andrei Kosovski spoke about the development of relationship between the two countries in the field of science and education and made a detailed presentation on the innovative infrastructure of the Republic of Belarus.

The participants also discussed the development of cooperation in the field of fundamental research, announcement of the competition for joint innovation projects between Azerbaijan and Belarus, put forward opinions and suggestions. In the end, the two parties signed a protocol on scientific-technical cooperation.

In the afternoon, a meeting was held at the Institute of Control Systems between the members of the Belarusian delegation Professor of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics, Director of "Intelligent Processors”, Doctor of Engineering M.M. Tatur, Project Manager of "OCD TCP” SPA project Assoc.Prof. V.D. Novikov and the representatives of the Azerbaijan Military Academy of Armed Forces. The meeting participants exchanged views on the cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan in the field of technologies and innovations, state and prospects of science development, carrying out innovative activity, technology transfer and other issues. The implementation of innovative projects and cooperation in the field of technology transfer, as well as projects on the development and application of special-purpose robotic equipment and new navigation systems have been the subject of discussion.
