Mass "phishing" attacks against users of e-mail services have been registered recently. The purpose of phishing attacks is to create fear and alarm among the population by spreading misinformation, as well as to use users' devices for malicious purposes by infecting them with malware.

The administration of AzScienceNet has issued an appeal in this regard. It was noted that malicious programs are placed inside the files sent via e-mail, thus damaging the device of the user who enters the link and uploads the data. They also try to gather information about the current situation in Azerbaijan by writing letters to users of fake accounts on various social networks.

For this reason, AzScienceNet experts advise e-mail users to be especially careful, not to access any links sent by strangers or download files.
