Professor Gorkhmaz Imanov took part in an international conference organized by the Spanish Royal Academy of Economics and Financial Sciences

Professor Gorkhmaz Imanov, Doctor of Economics, Head of the Laboratory of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, took part in the XV International Conference "Aging: Knowledge, Experience and Practice" organized by the Royal Spanish Academy of Economics and Financial Sciences on 19-20 November 2020. For the first time, the conference was held online due to the pandemic.

The conference kicked off on 19 November 2020. Eminent scientists of different nations presented their research. Professor G. Imanov moderated the 4th session of the conference on 20 November 2020, where he presented his paper “Quality estimation level of country’s development”. In the paper, using economic indicators, he proposes various indices, which can be used to determine the level of socio-economic development of a country (GDP per capita, living standards, sustainable development, inclusive development, etc.). This algorithm makes it possible to determine not only the quantitative, but also the qualitative level of a country's development. In the proposed methodology, the calculation of the index of the level of socio-economic development was carried out on the basis of the statistical data of Azerbaijan for 2015-2018.
