Regular general seminar of the Institute of Mathematics was held

A regular general seminar of the Institute of Mathematics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on April 8, 2026. At the seminar, Associate Professor Rashad Mastaliyev, leading researcher at the Laboratory of Optimal Control Theory, made a presentation on "Representation of the solution for a system of first-order linear stochastic hyperbolic equations and the optimality of singular controls in an optimal control problem described by nonlinear equations of the same type."
In the study, a representation of the solution for a system of first-order linear stochastic hyperbolic equations is found in integral form. An optimal control problem described by a system of first-order stochastic hyperbolic equations, which arises during the modeling of several chemical-technological processes under the influence of random noise, is considered. The optimality of singular controls in the sense of Pontryagin’s maximum principle is investigated, and necessary optimality conditions for singular controls are obtained.
At the end, discussions were held on the topic, and questions were answered.
