The article “An Information Recognition System for Complex Images” co-authored by Assoc. Prof. Gulchin Abdullayeva, PhD (Math), Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Information Processing Systems of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of ANAS, and the institute's doctoral student Ulker Alizade has been published in the Spanish Advances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence Journal (IF 1.44). The article presents an approach aimed at objective assessment of ultrasound examination.
As we know, information technology is used in most areas of human activity. In particular, the use of modern information technology in medicine allows for scientific achievements and data optimization. The article, which reflects these views, focuses on the earliest detection of growths in the internal organs of the human body. Detection of asymptomatic small closed contours in ultrasound and computed tomography images is carried out by means of a software package created by the authors. In this regard, the concept of pre-indicator is given, the use of algorithms and methods of mathematical morphology, a three-step recognition diagnostic model, etc. are proposed.
The main aim of the article is to draw doctors' attention to the development of growths that may occur in asymptomatic periods.
