A meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Control Systems was held

An online meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of ANAS was held on 5 March 2021. The meeting was attended by the administration of the institute, members of the council, all heads of departments and laboratories and invited guests.

Opening the meeting, the General Director of the Institute, Academician Ali Abbasov, first congratulated the ladies of the Institute on 8 March, the International Women's Day. A. Abbasov stressed that the legal basis for the implementation of gender policy in Azerbaijan in accordance with the modern standards is the Constitution of independent Azerbaijan, adopted on 12 November 1995 under the direct leadership of Heydar Aliyev. A. Abbasov noted that as a result of implementing the state policy towards women by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the rights of women in our independent republic continue to be safely protected. He stressed that the social and political activity of Azerbaijani women has increased, and equality of women and men is ensured in accordance with the requirements of gender policy in the country.

A. Abbasov said that Azerbaijani women adequately represent our country in the world, speaking from high posts. He noted that the appointment of Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and wide public support for this decision once again confirmed the high level of trust in Azerbaijani women.

Then Associate Professor Rena Asadova, Chairperson of the ICS Women's Council, spoke about the history of Women's Day on 8 March and the achievements of Azerbaijani women in science, culture and other spheres, and also congratulated women on this significant day.

Then A. Abbasov said that the first item on the agenda of the meeting of the Scientific Council is the appointment of the editor-in-chief of the journal of the Institute "Informatics and Control Problems". The candidacy of Corresponding Member of ANAS Agasi Melikov was proposed and unanimously adopted.

Further, A. Abbasov noted that the next issue on the agenda is the discussion of indicators reflecting the scientific activity of laboratories, and gave the floor to the Executive Director of the institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov.

A. Sadigov presented to the participants of the meeting the indicators reflecting the scientific activity and achievements of the laboratories. He informed the council members that it is advisable to evaluate the research work of laboratories based on the results of applied works, references to scientific works, the number of published scientific works and other indicators. The issue was discussed and decisions were adopted.

Then the issue of awarding the title of Associate Professor to E.E. Mustafayev, PhD (Eng), leading researcher of Laboratory No. 3.1 of the ICS, was discussed and unanimously approved by secret ballot on Zoom.

Then other issues on the agenda were discussed, including admission to doctoral studies program at the Institute, the activities of the scientific seminar, the electronicization of document flow, regulation of the attendance of employees during the quarantine period, etc., and appropriate decisions were made. Executive Director Aminaga Sadigov, Academic Secretary Zakhra Azizova, Academician Telman Aliyev, Corresponding Members Gorkhmaz Imanov, Kamil Aydazade, Agasi Malikov, Professors Knyaz Mamedov, Kamil Mansimov, Yadulla Hasanli, Elchin Aliyev, Nailya Musaeva, Associate Professors Asif Rzayev, Fakhrad Pashayev, Gulchin Abdullaeva, Head of Human Resources Department Gulnar Guliyeva, Aygun Aliyeva, PhD (Econ) and others voiced their opinions and suggestions.
