17.03.2021 / Conferences, assembliesMEETADORE, the first local software to be used as a virtual platform for video conferencing, online discussions and various types of mass online events has been tested. The software created by SINAM within the framework of scientific and technical cooperation with the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS (ICS) meets modern requirements. The test videoconference was held with the participation of the administration of the institute, members of the Science Council and representatives of SINAM.
At the conference, Director of SINAM Abulfat Rahmanov demonstrated the rich functionality of the software to the participants and noted that it is completely ready to use. A. Rahmanov noted that the Meetadore system is a video conferencing program for voice and video communication. He said that the system opens up great prospects for more flexible and effective communication of organizations facing COVID-19 and other similar problems, and, in addition to meeting modern requirements, is better in terms of national security than other foreign analogues.
A. Rahmanov informed the participants that the functions of the Meetadore system include video conferencing, as well as creating conferences, adding participants, storing video recordings after the conference and preparing the conference minutes. He noted that the system is intended not only for online conferences, but also for offline conferences. A. Rakhmanov emphasized that the system has the feature of notifying participants about the date and place of an offline conference and downloading the minutes, video recording and files after the conference. During testing, the system also demonstrated its ability to put issues to a vote during a video conference, display the results of a secret or open vote by meeting participants on the monitor, and send messages to all or any of the participants without interrupting the conference.
A. Rahmanov spoke about another important feature of the Meetadore system. The system makes it possible to manage time of presentation based on a pre-set "agenda" for each speaker, taking into account the duration of the speech from the moment it starts.
Then the General Director of ICS, Academician Ali Abbasov said that this system, which performs the same functions as its foreign analogues, as well as additional functions in accordance with the specific requirements of our country and is more acceptable from the point of view of information security, can be considered the optimal platform for online conferences in Azerbaijan. He noted that
the Meetadore system will open up great prospects for more flexible and efficient opportunities for managing online and offline conferences within the institution.
Then the answers to the questions of the conference participants were given, and the functionality of the Meetadore system was highly appreciated by the representatives of ICS, and it was decided that the system is fully suitable for use in Azerbaijan and abroad.
