
The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a seminar on "Digital payments and security measures" at the Institute of Control Systems

The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan held an educational seminar on "Digital payments and security measures" at the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) on 4 June 2021. The seminar was attended by employees of the Institute of Control Systems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. Taking into account the special quarantine regime in our country, the seminar was organized online on the Zoom platform.
Khayaladdin Tagiyev, PhD in Economics, senior lecturer at the Department of Economics and Statistics of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Economy, employee of the Central Bank, made a presentation on the topic "Digital payments and security measures." He provided detailed information on online payments in line with the demands of the times, the security issues people face today, including the privacy and security of card information, 3D passwords, and so on.
Tagiyev also provided detailed information on electronic banking services, including mobile banking, terminal banking, telephone banking, internet banking, and other important details. Discussions were held on the topic and answers were given to a number of questions.
In conclusion, the Executive Director of the ICS, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov highly appreciated the seminars held at the ICS on 2-4 June 2021 together with the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and spoke about the need to improve the financial literacy of the population. A. Sadigov said that ICS always cooperates with various state agencies in relevant areas, stressed the importance of such events and thanked the participants.
