Defense of Master's dissertations took place at the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS
12.06.2021 / Conferences, assembliesA meeting of the Specialized Science Council for the Defense of Master's Dissertations of second-year Master's students of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS in the specialties 060509 - “Computer Science” and 060628 - "Process Automation Engineering" was held online on 10 June 2021. The meeting was held online on the Zoom platform. Along with the council members, the meeting was attended by the General Director of the Institute, Academician Ali Abbasov, Academic Secretary Zahra Azizova, Assoc.Prof. Rashad Mastaliev, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute, heads and employees of departments and laboratories of the institute, as well as Gafil Damirov, PhD (Phys), acting Head of the Education Department of the Presidium of ANAS.
Having opened the meeting, the Chairman of the Council, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov noted that today is an important day in the life of the Institute. He emphasized the importance of the created scientific and educational base for the development of students of the Master's program of ANAS. Having provided general information about Master's program education at the institute, he introduced to the participants the members of the Specialized Science Council consisting of 11 people. Then the General Director of the institute, Academician Ali Abbasov, especially noted that experienced and famous scientists had been appointed as advisers of the Master's students, and relevant topics had been selected for dissertations. He wished all the students success in the defense process, which is the most crucial stage of their two-year studies, and said that their further activities would always be supported.
After the Chairman of the Council, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov gave detailed information about the regulations, the course of defense and evaluation, the Master's students began their presentations:

After the presentations of the Master's students, the participants of the meeting asked the degree candidates questions about each of their dissertations. The Academic Secretary of the Council, Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD (Math), read out the reviews. Then extensive discussions were held, the relevance of applicants' dissertations, their presentation and research skills were analyzed, recommendations and suggestions were given.
Then the dissertations submitted for defense were evaluated by the members of the Council. In conclusion, the Specialized Science Council for the Defense of Master's Dissertations held an open vote based on the results of the evaluation and made the decision to award each student a Master's degree.
