A regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems was held

An online meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems (IСS) of ANAS was held on 29 October 2021. The meeting was attended by the administration of the institute, members of the council, all heads of departments and laboratories and invited guests.
The meeting was opened by the General Director of the Institute, academician Ali Abbasov, who informed the participants about the issues on the agenda. To speak on the first issue of the agenda, A. Abbasov gave the floor to the Executive Director of IСS, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov.
Aminaga Sadigov told the participants in detail about the scientific activities of Professor Tamilla Nasirova, DSc (Math), senior researcher, and Tofig Babayev, PhD (Eng), Head of the International Relations and Innovation Department of the IСS, their significant contribution to Azerbaijani science. It was decided to submit a petition to the Division of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences of ANAS to mark T. Nasirova's 85th birthday anniversary and T. Babayev's 75th birthday anniversary.
The Academic Secretary of ICS Zahra Azizova informed the participants about the monograph of the senior researcher of Laboratory No 1.3 R. Zeynalov, PhD (Math) "Mathematical models and boundary value problems in control", a discussion was held and a unanimous decision was made to publish the monograph. Z. Azizova also informed the participants about the submission of reports on the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the institute's laboratories for 2021 and gave relevant instructions.
Then A. Sadigov spoke on the issue of nominating candidates for the Presidential Prize in the field of science and education for youth. The members of the council discussed the matter, and appropriate decisions were made.
Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD (Math), Head of the Department of Education of IСS, spoke on the issue of approving the topics of dissertations, advisers and individual work plans of the students admitted to the Master's program of the institute for the 2021/2022 academic year, and other issues arising from the agenda, the members of the council exchanged opinions, and decisions were made.
Then A. Sadigov informed the council members about the clarification of the topic of the dissertation and the approval of the new adviser of the junior researcher of Laboratory No 4 of the institute, the 4th year dissertationist of the institute V.M. Hagverdiyev.
The council members discussed in detail the elections for the positions of Heads of Laboratory of the Institute of Control Systems, and decisions were taken by secret ballot.
Some current issues were discussed, and proposals were put to a vote for submission to the Division of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences of ANAS.
In conclusion, General Director of the Institute, academician Ali Abbasov summed up the results of the meeting and gave certain instructions on the implementation of the main objectives for the future.
