The growing role of information in public life in modern times has highlighted the issue of information security. Its origins date back to 1988, when a Cornell University graduate student Robert Morris released a "Morris worm" into a network on November 2, paralyzing 6,000 computers.
As in the leading countries of the world, systematic practical measures are taken in Azerbaijan in the field of legal framework of information security. In this regard, special attention is paid to international information security, as well as the protection and strengthening of national interests.
As in other fields, the institutes of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) provide scientific support to the state programs implemented in this direction. World practices are being studied, cooperation with leading countries is being expanded and research is being conducted.
Executive Director of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, Corresponding Member of the Academy Aminaga Sadigov spoke to Channel 525 on the topic. He pointed out that the development of ICT in our country as a whole, including information security control, is one of the priorities of state policy and is always in the spotlight.
