A paper by the scientists of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS – corr. member of ANAS, Prof. K.R. Aida-zade, and the leading researcher, Assoc. Prof. Rahimov Anar has been published in the journal “Applied Mathematics and Computation” refereed by the database “Web of Science”. “Applied Mathematics and Computation” is published by the authoritative publisher Elsevier and has an impact factor of 4.091 with category quartile Q1.

In the paper entitled “On recovering space or time-dependent source functions for a parabolic equation with nonlocal conditions” the authors investigate inverse source problems for a parabolic equation with nonlocal conditions. A numerical method is proposed to solve the inverse source problems based on using a special type representation for solution, which does not require any iterative procedure.

Note that the journal “Applied Mathematics and Computation” is ranked in 7th place among 265 journals with an impact factor in the category of Applied Mathematics.
