Professor Ramin Rzayev spoke at the scientific seminar
26.01.2022 /An institute-wide seminar was held on January 25, 2022 at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics (IMM) of ANAS under the chairmanship of Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS Misir Mardanov. The event was attended by the administration and scientists of the IMM and the Institute of Control Systems (ICS).
At the seminar, Professor Ramin Rzayev, DSc (Engineering), Head of Laboratory at ICS, made a presentation on "Methods for evaluating the competitiveness of educational services and ranking of universities through the use of neural network and fuzzy modeling methods".
In his presentation, R. Rzayev pointed out that the main purpose is to form a set of criteria for assessing the performance of the university, taking into account the qualitative indicators, the development on its basis of baseline models for a comprehensive assessment of the university and to ensure ranking. Speaking about different approaches to assessing the quality of educational services, the scientist spoke in detail about reputational, numerical and general estimates.
According to him, a university's rating is determined on the basis of the potential of the university, the quality of its activities and education, as well as international recognition. In the presented study, fuzzy models based on a fuzzy inference system were developed to assess the marketing space of educational services and the competitive position of a university in the labor market. As part of the study, a neuro-fuzzy approach to develop a rating system for ranking universities by level of competitiveness was proposed and tested.
The presentation was received by the participants with interest, and discussions on the topic were held.
