An event dedicated to National Youth Day February 2 was held at the Institute of Control Systems
02.02.2022 /An event dedicated National Youth Day February 2 was held at the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of ANAS with the organizational support of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists (CYSS). The event was attended by the Institute's administration, members of the Council, representatives of the education and public relations departments and other employees. A group of students from the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and Baku State University (BSU) were also invited to the event. First, a moment of silence was observed to honor the memory of the martyrs who had given their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Opening the event, Executive Director of ICS, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov congratulated the participants on the Youth Day on behalf of the administration of the institute. He said that raising sensible and well-educated youth in Azerbaijan is one of the priority directions of the state policy. The day was established by great leader Heydar Aliyev on February 2, 1997. Speaking about the attention and care paid to development of youth in the country, he said that the national leader's policy in this direction is being successfully continued by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva.
А. Sadigov pointed out that Azerbaijani youth prove themselves with their achievements in various spheres not only in the country, but also outside the country and all over the world. The scientist said the young soldiers and officers, who joined the army in response to an appeal by the head of state during the Second Karabakh War, fought for the territorial integrity of the country and did not lose their spirit even in the most difficult conditions, are the brightest examples of Azerbaijani youth.
Recalling the measures, orders, state programs that are implemented nowadays in direction of integration of youth into world science, training of highly qualified personnel, the scientist said that necessary conditions had been created now for more active participation of youth in public-political and cultural life of the country. In order to create conditions for deeper participation of youth in state building and other vital issues, special attention is paid to the development of youth organizations. One of the most distinguished institutions in this direction is the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, including the Institute of Control Systems. Highlighting activities carried out at ICS, youth personnel policy, attention paid to their development in scientific direction, A. Sadigov wished success to the youth taking an active part in development of Azerbaijani science in future activities.
Then, Chair of CYSS Lamiya Najafova congratulated members of the Council and talked about the role of youth in science. She said that as a result of the youth policy conducted by the great leader Heydar Aliyev, our country now has an intellectual, broad-minded generation with leadership and managerial skills. State youth policy conducted under leadership of President Ilham Aliyev gave impetus to development of Azeri youth and played important role in their self-assertion in the society.
She pointed out that the Republic of Azerbaijan today is one of the rapidly developing countries of the world. And the main objectives of the youth in our time are to never stop growing, always look forward, remove imperfections and problems.
L. Najafova noted that taking into account that raising the status of scientific activity and young scientists in the society as well as improvement of their social situation is the most urgent issue of today, incentive scientific contests are organized for the youth within the Academy. Speaking of the attention and care given to young people at ICS in this direction, she expressed gratitude on behalf of the council members to the administration of the institute.
Then CYSS Secretary Rayiha Niyazova told the participants of the event about the history of the Youth Day. She said that today young people, who are the driving force of the country, work in the fields of public administration, culture, economy, sports and so on, proudly representing the country, achieving high accomplishment. Emphasizing the importance of representation of youth in science, she spoke about "The State Program on education of Azerbaijani youth abroad in the years of 2007-2015" and its successful results. She noted that conditions are being created today for all-round development of youth, state support is being provided to education and employment, successful actions are being taken to reveal the innovative and creative potential of the youth. At the end of her speech, R. Niyazova congratulated the members of the Council and wished them success in their further activities.
Then the senior laboratory assistant Punar Guliyeva spoke, recalling that February 4, 2022 marks the anniversary of the outstanding Azerbaijani scientist, Professor Lotfi Zadeh, who brought important discoveries and new ideas to the world of science. She noted that the theory of fuzzy logic, which brought the scientist worldwide fame as the author of theories that made a significant contribution to world science, is considered a revolution in science. Speaking about the values and principles of this theory, put forward in 1965, she pointed out that the theory, successfully applied at present in various fields, marked the beginning of a new era in the development of artificial intelligence. Having told the participants in detail about the theory, P. Guliyeva congratulated the youth and wished them success.
CYSS Deputy Chair Rustam Azimov spoke about the development of the youth in the modern world, about the special attention from the state, about the problems that young people face. Touching upon the importance of eliminating the problems faced by young people, who are the leading force in Azerbaijani science, giving it the right direction, he dwelled in detail on the steps taken in this area and future prospects. Speaking about the support provided by the leading scientists of the country to the youth at the Institute of Control Systems, he congratulated the members of the council on the remarkable day and wished them new achievements.
Then CYSS Deputy Chair Narmin Abbaszade spoke about the activities and opportunities of the Azerbaijani youth in the modern period. Noting that the youth is the main driving force of our time in responding to global challenges, she noted that the further fate of each country depends on how well the knowledge and abilities of young people are developed. She pointed out that the education of young people with great love and devotion to the Motherland and the training of high-level personnel are especially important issues. Modern Azerbaijani youth proves itself with its achievements in various fields of activity, not only in the country, but also abroad, all over the world.
N. Abbaszade noted that at present all the necessary conditions had been created for more active participation of young people in the socio-political and cultural life of the country. She noted that being a citizen of such a developed country as the Republic of Azerbaijan means having excellent opportunities for young people who want to improve themselves, and these opportunities must be effectively used. At the end of her speech, she thanked the administration of ICS for the special attention and care shown to the youth.
In conclusion, Head of the Public Relations Department of ICS Aygun Aliyeva, PhD in Economics, and researcher Sayyara Hidayatzade spoke. Stressing the special role of youth in the development of science in the modern period, they spoke about the work carried out in this area in ANAS, including the ICS. A. Aliyeva brought up the special attention and care shown by the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva in the successful implementation of the state policy related to the expansion of women's participation in education and science and stressed that the gender problem in science had been eliminated in our country. She congratulated the council members on the Youth Day, voiced the recommendations and wished them success in their new endeavors.
