A meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of ANAS was held on June 9, 2022. The event was attended by the Institute's administration, council members and other employees.

Opening the meeting, Director General of ICS, Chairman of the Science Council Academician Ali Abbasov brought to the attention of the participants the issues on the agenda of the event.

Focusing on the first item on the agenda A.Abbasov spoke about the results of participation of the Institute of Control Systems in the Teknofest Azerbaijan festival on May 26-29 of this year. He said that the Institute of Control Systems was one of the research institutions of ANAS which took part in the exhibition held within the framework of the festival and presented 2 items. He said that the Festival featured a flight controller for unmanned aerial vehicles, jointly developed by Park of Science and Technology LLC, resident of the Academic Park of High Technologies, Special Design Bureau and the Research Institute of Applied Mathematics at Baku State University, and observation UAV "Şahin" ("Falcon") made by Park of Science and Technology LLC.

A. Abbasov said that the microcomputer ware and the real aerial vehicle were presented at the exhibition in a virtual form, and that technological achievements, scientific and innovative innovations obtained by scientists of ICS were met with great interest by experts in relevant fields.

A. Abbasov spoke about the special meeting of the Presidium of ANAS on the results of the Academy's participation in the festival, and noted that in the framework of Teknofest Azerbaijan ICS had established new cooperation relations with local and foreign international companies, identified new research areas and prospects.

Then, Executive Director of ICS, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov spoke about the plan of research work of the Institute for 2023. The scientist stressed the importance of the institute's action plan in terms of systematic and effective implementation of various research projects in the current priority research areas in a timely manner, achieving successful results, and spoke about future goals.

A. Sadigov also spoke about creating a corporate profile of the ICS and personal profiles of employees in international research databases, such as SCOPUS, Web of Science and others. Stressing the importance of this issue for popularizing the institute's scientific activities, the scientist brought to attention the statistical data and existing problems. Then there were extensive discussions on this topic, as well as on the challenges facing the employees of the Institute, and appropriate decisions were made.

Then Academic Secretary of the Institute Zahra Azizova spoke about conferring the academic rank of Associate Professor to Aygun Aliyeva, PhD in Economics, Head of Public Relations Department, in specialty 5311.01 "Organization and management of enterprises" and to the leading scientific employee of Laboratory "Control in emergency situations", Ramin Zeynalov, PhD in Mathemics, in specialty 1203.01 "Computer Science". Z. Azizova brought to the attention of the participants of the event detailed information about the scientific, pedagogical activities of these employees and their works published in reputable Opinions were expressed on the topic, secret ballot was held and it was unanimously decided to submit the issue to the Higher Attestation Commission.

Then Head of the Education Department of ICS Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, spoke about granting a deferment to Zumrud Rahmanova, a 1st year extramural doctoral student of at the Institute, and a decision was made by open vote.

Then other issues on the agenda were discussed and relevant decisions were made.

In conclusion, General Director of the institute, Academician Ali Abbasov summed up the meeting and voiced specific instructions and recommendations to fulfill the main objectives facing the institute.
