Defense of Master's dissertations was held at the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS
21.06.2022 /A meeting of the specialized council for the defense of Master's dissertations of 2nd year Master's students of specialties 060509 - "Computer Science" and 060628 - "Process Automation Engineering" was held at the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS on June 16, 2022. Along with the members of the council, the Academic Secretary of the Institute Zahra Azizova, the academic advisors of the Master's students, the Chair of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists Lamiya Najafova, and staff of the Institute's departments and laboratories attended the meeting.
Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the council, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, gave general information about the establishment of the Master's program in ANAS, the importance of the scientific and educational base created for the education and development of Master's students, the advantages of Master's education in ANAS, introduced the members of the specialized council consisting of 7 people and said that all of them were participating in the meeting.
Then A. Sadigov spoke in detail about the regulations, the process of defense and evaluation, after which the Master's students began their presentations.
The following Master's dissertations were presented to the participants of the meeting: Master's student of the "Computer Science" specialty Aysel Abdullayeva under the supervision of Associate Professor Gulchin Abdullayeva, PhD in Mathematics, - "Development of algorithms and software for the recognition of geometric shapes in a closed area", Master's student of the "Computer Science" specialty Rustam Azimov under the supervision of Corresponding Member of ANAS Kamil Ayda-zade - "Development of algorithms and software for calculating features of objects on images for use in computer recognition", and Master's student of the "Process Automation Engineering" specialty Orkhan Babayev under the guidance of Associate Professor Asif Rzayev, Doctor of Engineering - "Development of algorithms and software for analysis of signals of dynamometer charts of sucker rod pumping units".
After the presentations, the participants of the meeting asked questions to the candidates on each dissertation. Academic Secretary of the Council Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, read out the reviews of the official reviewers and advisors, extensive discussions were held, the relevance of the candidates' dissertations, their presentation and research skills were analyzed, and recommendations and suggestions were made.
The dissertations were then evaluated by the members of the Council based on the established criteria. In the end, the specialized council for the defense of Master's dissertations held an open vote based on the evaluation results and decided to award a Master's degree to each of the Master's students.
