Memorandum of Understanding between Observatorio Sismico del Occidente de Panamá (OSOP, Panama) and the Institute Cybernetics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (Azerbaijan)
A memorandum of understanding was signed on 10 December 2012 between Observatorio Sismico del Occidente de Panamá (OSOP, Panama) and the Institute of Cybernetics of the Azerbaijan National Academy to promote international academic cooperation and the exchange of research experiences between the two organizations, including exchange academic materials and information; mutual visits by researchers; joint international conferences; joint research projects; other activities to better enhance mutual understanding and cooperation. The area of collaboration under this MoU is research and development for the purpose of creating of rapid information system for earthquake strong motion in Azerbaijan and further monitoring of seismic stability of structure, using the robust noise technology offered by the Institute of Cybernetics and strong motion equipment and software offered by OSOP.
