Researcher of ICS attended the Summer School on Inverse Problems in Paris
28.08.2015 /An employee of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, the leading researcher, Assoc. Prof. Anar Rahimov took part in the Franco-German Summer School on Inverse Problems for Waves (http://www.math.uni-bremen.de/zetem/ip-school2015) organized at Ecole Polytechnique from 24 August to 28 August, 2015 in Paris, France.
This summer school considered the analytical and numerical treatment of inverse problems for time-harmonic and time-dependent waves. The Summer School was organized for PhD students, postdocs and young scientists. 50 participants from various countries took part in the summer school. During the Summer School were organized 8 mini-courses on Inverse Problems. The mini-courses consisted in a series of lectures by famous scientists on Inverse Problems - Prof. Andreas Kirsch (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany), Prof. Maïtine Bergounioux (Université d’Orléans, France), Prof. Fioralba Cakoni (University of Delaware, USA), Prof. Patrick Joly (Ensta Paristech, France), Prof. Josselin Garnier (Université Paris Diderot, France), Prof. Otmar Scherzer (University of Vienna, Austria), Prof. Chrysoula Tsogka (University of Crete, Greece) and Assoc. Prof. Laurent Bourgeois (Ensta Paristech, Paris). Lectures covered the topics Imaging in Periodic, Random and Hybrid Medias, Interior Transmission Eigenvalues and Time-Harmonic Inverse Scattering in the general framework of inverse problems in wave propagation.
A limited number of participants including A.B. Rahimov were selected based on competition and financially supported by the Organizing Committee.
The Franco-German Summer School on Inverse Problems is organized every two years. The upcoming summer school conference will be held at the Bremen University (Bremen, Germany) in 2017.
