Researcher of ICS attended the Summer School and the International Conference on Inverse Problems in Finland
An employee of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, the leading researcher, Assoc. Prof. Anar Rahimov took part in the Summer School on Inverse Problems (www.aip2015.fips.fi/summer_school.php) organized at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of University of Helsinki. The Summer School was held from 18 May to 22 May, 2015 in Helsinki, Finland.
The Summer School was organized for PhD students, postdocs and young scientists. 64 participants from various countries took part in the school. During the Summer School were organized 4 mini-courses and 2 keynote talks on Inverse Problems. The mini-courses consisted in a series of lectures by famous scientists on Inverse Problems - Prof. Martin de Hup (Purdue University, USA), Assoc. Prof. Tanja Tarvainen (University of Eastern Finland, Finland), Prof. Erik Bonneti (Université de Grenoble-Alpes, France), Prof. Qabriel Paternan (University of Cambridge, UK). Besides that, Prof. Qunter Uhlman (University of Washington, USA), Prof. Samuli Siltanen (University of Helsinki, Finland) gave keynoye talks about a wide range of modern problems and the current trends in the field.
After the Summer School, Rahimov A.B. took part in the Applied Inverse Problems Conference - AIP2015 (www.aip2015.fips.fi)which was held on May 25-29, 2015 in University of Helsinki (Helsinki, Finland). The Applied Inverse Problems (AIP) conference series is the premier scientific meeting of the field, organized by Inverse Problems International Association (IPIA) every two years. The conference was the eigth in the series.
This is the biggest-ever scientific meeting on inverse problems. 430 participants from various countries took part in the conference. During the conference 10 plenary talks, 332 mini-symposium talks, 40 contributed talks and 30 posters were presented.
Rahimov A.B. made the report entitled "On an inverse coefficient problem for hyperbolic equation with nonlocal conditions”. The report was interesting for the conference participants, various questions were asked about the subject.
It was decided that the upcoming ninth AIP2017 conference will be held in Hangzhou, China.
