2nd PANEL ON HARMONISATION OF DIGITAL MARKETS (2nd HDM PANEL) in Brussels, 17 and 18 October 2016

Azerbaijani delegation consisting of Isbandiyar Aliyev, Head of Department at the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, Tofig Babayev, Head of Foreign Relations and Innovations Department of the Institute of Control System of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Anar Suleymanov, representing the State Customs Committee, Jalal Rahimov, Deputy CEO at Technopark took part in the 2nd Panel on Harmonisation of Digital Markets (2nd HDM Panel) held in Brussels, Belgium, on 17 and 18 October 2016.
During one day and a half, the participants discussed work by the EaPeReg network of the EaP regulators for electronic communications and progress made by the EaPConnect project, which aims to connect the partner countries to the pan European research and education network GEANT.
The preparatory work was also discussed and proposals were assessed for launching new HDM related initiatives, such as new EaP networks on digital innovation, digital skills, digital trust & security and eTrade, a new HDM study on eTrade and eLogistics, and an ad-hoc EaP workshop on eHealth.
Proposals were prepared to be presented at the Ministerial level meeting on the Digital Community on 18 October in the second half of the day.
