Regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems was held
07.10.2022 /A meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) was held on October 6, 2022. The event was attended by the institute's administration, council members and other employees.
Opening the meeting, General Director of ICS, Chairman of the Science Council, Academician Ali Abbasov brought to the attention of the participants of the event the issues on the agenda, and the report on the first topic was delivered by the Executive Director of ICS, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov.
A.Sadigov emphasized the importance of the action plan in terms of systematic implementation of various researches and projects in a timely manner, and achieving effective results. Speaking about the plan of research work to be carried out at the Institute of Control Systems in 2023, the scientist noted the current priority research areas and future goals.
Further, A. Sadigov informed the participants of the event about the presentation of reports on the scientific activities of the laboratories for 2022 in accordance with Decree № 18/2 of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences "On the reports on the results of scientific research carried out in 2022 in ANAS and other scientific and higher educational institutions of the Republic" of September 30, 2022.
Next, Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, Head of the Education Department of the ICS, brought to the attention of the members of the Council the results of admission to full-time and part-time doctoral and dissertation DSc and PhD programs of the Institute of Control Systems for 2022. The members of the Science Council discussed the allocated spots, topics of dissertations and other current issues, and the relevant decisions were made by voting.
Speaking on the next item on the agenda, the Academic Secretary of the Institute, Zahra Azizova, informed the participants about the results of the evaluation of DSc and PhD students of the doctoral and dissertation programs and voiced suggestions for the implementation of this issue.
Further in his speech academician A.Abbasov brought to the attention of the members of the Council the issue of birthday anniversaries of ICS scientists, spoke in detail about the scientific and pedagogical activities of the outstanding scientists, their contribution to Azerbaijani science, wished them new success in their rich scientific activities. The Science Council resolved to petition the Division of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences of ANAS to hold the celebrations of the 80th birthdays of Associate Professor Rauf Gadimov, PhD in Engineering, and Associate Professor Rahila Ibrabrahimov, PhD in Economics, 70th birthday of Associate Professor Fakhrad Pashayev, DSc in Engineering, 60th birthdays of Corresponding Member of ANAS Professor Aminaga Sadigov, DSc in Engineering, and Professor Elchin Aliyev, DSc in Engineering.
Elchin Aliyev, DSc in Engineering, Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Decision-Making Methods and Computer Systems, reported on the tasks proceeding from the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on approval of the "Action Plan on creation of a 'green energy' zone in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026". The scientist spoke about the restoration works carried out in the territories liberated as a result of the Second Karabakh War, including in the village of Agaly in Zangilan District, as well as the "smart village" project aimed at improving living standards in the region.
Stressing the need to save energy resources in the modern era, E. Aliyev noted that as a result of this concept, modern urban planning standards were introduced in the village Agaly, implementing various projects such as "smart" street lighting, construction of heat and cold resistant eco-houses, installation of solar panels, use of biogas energy, availability of high-speed Internet, "smart management". The scientist informed the participants in detail about the existing prospects and international cooperation in this field.
Then the current issues arising from the agenda were reviewed, discussions were held and relevant decisions were made.
In conclusion, General Director of the Institute Academician Ali Abbasov summed up the meeting and voiced certain instructions and recommendations for the implementation of the main tasks at hand.
