Contracts signed for two winning projects in the "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" grant competition
24.11.2022 /On November 22, 2022 contracts were signed with the Science Fund of Azerbaijan on 2 winning projects in the "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" grant competition held in October 2021 by the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Project proposals were developed as part of a joint collaboration between the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) and SINAM LLC and submitted to the Science Development Fund. One of the contracts was signed between the Science Fund and the project "Improvement of UAV monitoring methods to ensure sustainable development and safety of the environment in the territories liberated from occupation" managed by Academician Ali Abbasov, General Director of the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the other between the Science Fund and the project "Creation and implementation of an intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) system for the development of agriculture in the territories liberated from occupation" managed by the Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent decision-making methods and computer systems of ICS and President of SINAM LLC, Professor Elchin Aliyev, Doctor of Engineering. The projects are to be implemented within 2 years.
The project "Improvement of UAV monitoring methods to ensure sustainable development and safety of the environment in the territories liberated from occupation" aims to intensify the development of small unmanned aerial vehicles (SUAVs) and their effective use in the local economy by investigating UAV control and monitoring methods and developing high-performance anti-noise electronic modules for installation on UAVs and the software for these modules. The project's objectives also include the registration of new UAVs using a geographical map of the area through the developed platform and the creation of UAV tracking capabilities for already registered UAVs through the system's interface.
The project "Creation and implementation of an intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) system for the development of agriculture in the territories liberated from occupation" involves the building of a unified computer network and system of interconnected physical objects (things) through devices for various purposes (sensors) and software that will be created and installed on physical objects to collect, process information with remote control capabilities in an automated mode without human involvement. The creation of such a system will facilitate intelligent decision-making tasks aimed at cost reduction, load distribution, production optimization based on the analysis of information obtained from the available resources, and ensure prompt decision-making.
