On 13 December, 2012, a joint seminar of the following laboratories was held at the Cybernetics Institute: ‘Teletraffic theory’, ‘Mathematical modelling and forecasting in technical and ecological systems’, ‘Intelligent systems’ and ‘Information measuring systems of oil and gas objects’. The following PhD theses were discussed at the seminar: ‘Development and analysis of recognition systems based of FL-relations’ by U.Sh. Rzayeva, specialty 01.01.09, ‘Discrete mathematics and mathematical cybernetics’, supervised by Doctor of Mathematics A.K. Kerimov; ‘Development of methods and algorithms for integration of wireless and optical networks’ by S.G. Aliyev, specialty 05.13.01, ‘System analysis, management and data processing’, supervised by Doctor of Engineering, Corresponding Member of ANAS A.Z. Melikov.
