The 2022 report meeting of the Institute for Control Systems was held

On December 7, 2022, the report meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the research and scientific-organizational activities of the institute for the current year was held. Academician Fikret Aliyev and Corresponding Member Ramiz Aliguliyev, members of the Department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences of ANAS, the administration of the institute, members of the Science Council, staff members of relevant laboratories and departments participated in the event.
Opening the meeting, General Director of ICS, Academician Ali Abbasov presented the report on the research and scientific-organizational activities of the institute he heads for the year 2022. The academician spoke in detail about the work done at the institute in the main research areas, such as theoretical and applied problems of management, artificial intelligence technologies and the study of socio-economic systems, identified in the current year, about the important scientific results and potential applied projects. The scientist noted that the results of 7 research works had been successfully implemented in practice in various fields this year. He said that a total of 7 patents had been obtained in 2022, 6 of which were Eurasian and 1 national, and various projects had been submitted to research program competitions.
Talking about the scientific and publishing activities of the Institute, the General Director pointed out that 285 articles (85 of them in the Web of Science database and 51 in the Scopus database), 210 abstracts, 2 books (2 abroad), 5 textbooks and 5 monographs (1 abroad) of the staff of the Institute had been published in 2022, with 2,200 references being made to their works.
А. Abbasov also spoke about the grants, awards and prizes received this year, expansion of cooperation ties with local and international scientific institutions, professional training, conferences and seminars organized at the Institute, and practical measures implemented towards integration of science and education. The head of the Institute spoke about the work done in the area of science popularization and noted the positive dynamics of the website www.isi.az for the current year.
Speaking at the event, Advisor of ANAS, Academician Telman Aliev noted the scientific and scientific organizational activities carried out at the ICS in recent years, including research carried out by scientists of the Institute to address topical scientific problems, grants received, important cooperation ties with reputable international organizations. The academician emphasized the steps taken in the direction of commercialization of science, development of the potential of young scientists, creative work carried out at the ICS, highly evaluated the submitted report and wished the Institute's staff success in the coming year.
Then Academician Fikret Aliyev and Corresponding Member of ANAS Ramiz Aliguliyev gave their recommendations on topical scientific research and priorities for the future mentioned in the report, positively evaluated the high scientific statistical indicators achieved in the current year and expressed confidence in the development of cooperation relations.
Then extensive discussions were held on the report, and opinions and suggestions were voiced. Corresponding Members of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, Kamil Ayda-zade, Agasi Melikov, Gorkhmaz Imanov and Professor Abbas Rzayev took part in the discussions, praised the research work carried out at the Institute and offered their comments and suggestions. An open vote was held and the report was unanimously approved by the members of the Science Council.
In conclusion, Academician Ali Abbasov, summing up the meeting, gave relevant instructions and recommendations for the work to be done next year.
