A meeting with school students who will participate in the "Scientists of Tomorrow" contest was held at the Institute of Control Systems
12.12.2022 /In recent years our country has been particularly focused on the integration of science and education, improving the system of personnel training in accordance with modern standards. In this regard, starting from school years, special importance is given to motivating students to scientific research, identifying talented students, inclined to research work, having creative thinking, their formation as researchers-specialists. As part of work in this area, at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and other organizations, a national contest "Scientists of Tomorrow" has been held since 2012. In this annual competition, students of 9-11th grades of secondary schools in the Republic of Azerbaijan present their projects and demonstrate their creative abilities as teams.
The Institute of Control Systems (ICS) has always been closely involved in this work. Thus, prominent scientists of the Institute have repeatedly provided scientific consultation and support to the students participating in the contest in the selection of topics, preparation of projects and their submission to the contest.
The scientific support for the team of 2 10th grade students of secondary school No 189-190, who will take part in the next national contest "Scientists of Tomorrow", scheduled for February 2023, will be provided by Fakhrad Pashayev, Doctor of Engineering, Head of Laboratory of ICS, and leading researcher Elkhan Sabziev, Doctor of Engineering.
On December 8, 2022, a meeting was held at the Institute with the students of the school - Ziya Sadigzade, Aziz Alizade, and computer science teacher Gulnar Ibadli, who are preparing for the competition. First of all, during the meeting with the General Director of the Institute, Academician Ali Abbasov the nature of the contest was discussed and its significance was highly appreciated. Academician Ali Abbasov gave his recommendations to the students and emphasized that the necessary conditions would be created for them to work on the project at the Institute.
Then the members of the team met with the Executive Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov. During the meeting there was a wide exchange of views on the project the students will submit to the contest in the "Computer Science" nomination, a work plan for the project was drawn up. Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, as well as Doctors Fakhrad Pashayev and Elkhan Sabziev, and Head of Education Department of ICS Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, gave advice and recommendations to the students, and it was decided to regularly meet with the students according to the established schedule.
At the end of the meeting, the students got acquainted with the work carried out in the laboratory "Modeling of technical objects and processes" headed by Dr. Fakhrad Pashayev.
