III Republican Scientific Conference on "Applied problems of mathematics and new information technologies” on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the restoration of state independence of the Azerbaijan Republic was launched at the Sumgayit State University on 15 December 2016. The conference is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic, Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Institute of Information Technologies.

More than 180 papers from 38 different scientific institutions have been submitted to the conference. The Institute of Control Systems with 23 papers is the second in the list of institutions with the highest number of submissions to the conference. Baku State University with 32 submissions is at the top of the list.

Employees of the Institute of Control Systems also spoke at the conference.

The conference will last two days and close on 16 December.
