A regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on February 6, 2023. The event was attended by the Institute's administration, council members and invited guests.

 

Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Science Council Academician Ali Abbasov informed the participants of the issues on the agenda.

 

Addressing the first item on the agenda, A.Abbasov informed the council members about the efforts taken by the Institute in the current year to implement Order No.F-109 of the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Approval of the Plan of Action of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to implement Plan of Action in connection with declaring 2023 the Year of Heydar Aliyev in the Republic of Azerbaijan" of December 14, 2022. Council members discussed the action plan for holding local and international conferences in relevant fields devoted to the 100th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev in ICS in 2023, and relevant decisions were made.

 

Then the executive director of ICS Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov spoke about identifying scientific problems related to the institute's research plans. The scientist spoke about the plan of research works to be carried out at the institute in 2023, the council members discussed this issue and made relevant decisions.

 

Head of the Department of Education of ICS Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, spoke about the approval of individual work plans of doctoral students and dissertationists admitted to the Institute's doctoral and dissertation programs. The issue was discussed by the council members and decisions were made by voting.

 

Addressing the next item on the agenda, Head of the International Relations and Innovation Department of the Institute Tofig Babayev, PhD in Engineering, informed the Board members about the upcoming International Astronautical Congress in Baku in 2023, the 2nd International Conference on Problems of Logistics, Management and Operation in the East-West Transport Corridor and the 15th International Conference Transport Problems organized by the Silesian University of Technology, Poland. This topic was discussed and proposals for the expansion of international cooperation of the Institute in the current year were voiced.

Other items on the agenda were reviewed and relevant decisions were made.

 

In conclusion, Academician Ali Abbasov summed up the meeting and gave specific tasks and recommendations for addressing the main issues faced by the Institute.
