A meeting with the management of the University of Economics and Pedagogy of Uzbekistan was held at the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 7, 2023. The main purpose of the meeting was to establish and develop cooperation in the field of science and education.

 

The meeting was attended by General Director of ICS Academician Ali Abbasov, Executive Director Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, Head of International Relations and Innovation Department Tofig Babaev, PhD in Engineering, Head of the Department of Education Sevinj Gulieva, PhD in Mathematics, Head of the Computational Mathematics Department of Baku State University, Corresponding Member of ANAS Vagif Ibrahimov, Rector of the University of Economics and Pedagogy of Uzbekistan Bozorov Otabek Nashvandovich, Vice Rector for Science and Innovation Farmanov Jasur Boykaraevich, Head of International Cooperation Department Abdurahimov Shojahon Uktam ugli, Head of Research Innovation and Education Department Jurayev Davron Aslonkulovich.

 

First, Academician Abbasov thanked the guests for the attention shown to the institute and spoke about the history of the institution he heads, the main areas of fundamental research, major scientific results obtained, training of personnel and international cooperation.

 

Then Rector of the University of Economics and Pedagogy of Uzbekistan O. Bozorov spoke about the history of establishment, activities and organization of education in the institution he heads. He expressed satisfaction with cooperation with such an advanced scientific research institution with a long history as the Institute of Control Systems, and expressed confidence that the bilateral relations would grow.

 

In the course of the meeting the parties exchanged views on conducting joint scientific research between the two institutions. Prospects for cooperation in the field of education between the departments of education, international relations and innovation were also discussed.

 

In conclusion a Memorandum of Cooperation between the parties was signed.
