Academician Asaf Hajiyev delivered scientific lectures in China

From 25 September to 1 October 2016, Acad. Asaf Hajiyev, head of laboratory at the Institute of Control Systems was on an academic trip at the invitation of City University of Hong Kong and Sichuan University. On 26 September, Asaf Hajiyev spoke at the seminar at City University of Hong Kong. Other speakers were Thomas Kailath, professor of Stanford University and Nozer Singpurwalla, professor of George Washington University. The speakers spoke of the results of their latest work and discussed modern problems of applied statistics.

29-member International Advisory Council of Sichuan University (China) was elected on 28 September 2016, consisting of Jack Szostak, professor of Harvard University, Nobel Prize laureate, Leonard van der Kujip, professor of Harvard University, Jeffrey Duerk, President of Case Western Reserve University (USA), Acad. Asaf Hajiyev and other scholars.

On 29-30 September 2016, Asaf Hajiyev spoke at Sichuan University, presenting his achievements in the field of probability theory and applied statistics. Possible collaboration with the scientists from the USA, Japan, South Korea participating in the seminar was discussed.
