A meeting of project representatives within the framework of the European Commission project "EU-Eastern Partnership (EaP) research and innovation cooperation" took place at the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 21, 2023. The meeting was attended by the project manager from the Austrian Center for Social Innovation Martin Felix Gajdusek, representative of the Spanish organization GAC Group Inna Petrenko and Head of International Relations and Innovation Department of the ICS Tofig Babayev, PhD in Engineering.

 

The participants of the meeting discussed the reform of national research programs in the EaP countries, national plans and programs aimed at supporting the transfer of green and digital technologies, implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission and expert groups for the EaP countries, as well as digital foreign investments in Azerbaijan. T.Babayev informed the guests about the state of the digital economy in Azerbaijan, e-skills training and other issues, there was an exchange of views on this topic and questions were answered.

 

Note that the main purpose of the GAC group, as head of the consortium implementing the project, is to review the results achieved in research and innovation activities in Azerbaijan.

 

The meeting also included an exchange of views on opportunities for further cooperation with the GAC Group, the active participation of ICS in European Commission projects.
