Workshop on the protection of intellectual property

A workshop on "Experience of the Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO)” took place at Grand Hotel Baku on 18-20 November 2015. The workshop was organized by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of the Azerbaijan Republic together with the European Union organization TALEX. Specialists of the Center of Expertise of Industrial Property Facilities (AzPatent), representatives of the public and private sectors took part in the workshop.

The chairman of the workshop was Director of AzPatent under the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of the Azerbaijan RepublicMiryagubSeyidov. The workshop was introduced by MogensBaltsens, Head of Section at DKPTO.

The main aim of the workshop was to inform the workshop participants about the principles and methods of protection of intellectual property. The participants familiarized themselves not only with the experience of DKPTO but also with the European Patent System.

Rena Asadova, PhD in Engineering, Head of Department at ICS ANAS and AygunAliyeva, a research officer of the department took part in the workshop.
