Employees of the Institute of Control Systems participated in an international scientific seminar

Because of the known events that began in Ukraine in February 2022, the organizing committee of the 5th Modeling and Optimization in Transport and Logistics International Conference decided to hold international seminars, starting in May, 2 times a month.
At the international scientific seminar on March 28, 2023 the paper “Оптимизация мест и мощностей источников системы сетевой структуры” (“Optimization of locations and capacities of sources of network structure systems”) by employees of the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Prof. K. Aida-zade and Y. Ashrafova, Doctor of Mathematics, was presented.
The paper investigates the solution of the problem of optimization of locations and capacities of accumulated resources affecting the functioning of a complex object. It is noted that the object consists of a large number of one-dimensional objects, the state of each of which is described by a system of ordinary differential equations with a nonlocal boundary. The sub-objects are combined with each other in an arbitrary order only by the values at their initial or endpoints. The scheme of numerical solution of the objective functional based on the first-order optimization methods using the obtained formulas of the gradient of the optimized sources by capacities and locations of impact is proposed. The results of numerical experiments are presented in the paper.
Different questions on the topic were answered, and the presentation was received by the participants with interest.
