Employees of the Institute of Control Systems participated in an international conference
22.06.2023 /The 15th International Scientific Conference on Transport Problems 2023, organized by the Silesian University of Technology, kicked off in Katowice, Poland, on June 21, 2023.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, the rector of the institute Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk touched upon the importance of the conference aimed at digitalization of transport corridors, investment issues in the supply chain, solution of scientific, technical and organizational problems, and talked about the work carried out in this direction at the research institution headed by him.
At the plenary session of the conference the General Director of the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academician Ali Abbasov made a presentation on "Azerbaijan in the digital transformation of the Middle Corridor".
A. Abbasov spoke about the need to find solutions to scientific and technical problems arising in the digitalization of transport corridors, with a scientific and technological approach in line with modern standards, the political and economic relations between countries that have access to the corridors, and the implementation of the adopted standards. Emphasizing importance of the Middle Corridor, known as the Trans-Caspian international transport route, in addressing issues of security, regulation and geopolitics between countries, A. Abbasov noted that in recent years Azerbaijan has played an active role in implementation of transnational projects of international scale, and spoke about the work being conducted at the research institution headed by him.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Silesian University of Technology and the Institute of Control Systems at the plenary session of the conference. The memorandum envisages the implementation of joint research projects, exchange of researchers and students.
Advisor of ANAS, Academician Telman Aliev also spoke at the conference with the video presentation "Hybrid technologies for the control of the latent period of the railway bed malfunctions".
The international conference attended by leading scientists from 27 countries will continue its work on June 22 and 23 in 8 sections.
