Defense of Master's dissertations was held at the Institute of Control Systems

Meetings of the Specialized Council for the Defense of Master Dissertations of second-year Master Students on the specialties 060509 - "Computer Science" and 060628 - "Process Automation Engineering" were held at the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on June 19-20, 2023. Along with the members of the Council, the meetings were attended by the Academic Secretary of the Institute Zahra Azizova, academic advisors of the Master's students, staff of the Institute's departments and laboratories.
At the meeting of the Specialized Council on June 19, 5 Master's students studying at the Institute of Control Systems on the specialty "Computer Science" made presentations on thesis dissertations to the participants: Elmar Mustafayev - "Software development and comparison of different methods of recognition of text authors" under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Gulchin Abdullaeva, PhD in Mathematics; Nazifa Abdullayeva - "Development of methods for controlling the structural characteristics of SMART materials under external influences", under the supervision of Prof. Allahverdi Hasanov, Doctor of Engineering; Aydan Akhmedova - "Internal and external point methods and calculation of errors for approximate solution of Boolean programming problem" under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Sagif Huseynov, PhD in Mathematics; Fatima Asadova - "Bringing backpack problems and integer problems to a problem with a small number of unknowns and solution" under the supervision of Prof. Knyaz Mammadov, Doctor of Mathematics, and Ali Gurbanov - "Analysis of mathematical models of quadcopter movement and development of a new model" under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Tahir Alizada, PhD in Engineeing. At the meeting of the Specialized Council on June 20, 1 Master's student studying at the Institute of Control Systems on the specialty "Computer Science" made presentations on thesis dissertations to the participants: Tadjiman Huseynova - "Development of methods and algorithms for operative definition of productivity of oil wells using geometric methods" under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Fakhrad Pashayev, Doctor of Engineering; 1 Master's student of the "Process Automation Engineering" specialty: Atakishi Goyushov - "Development of an inertial navigation system on Android smartphones" under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Adalat Pashayev, PhD in Engineering; and 3 Master’s students studying at the Institute of Information Technologies on the specialty "Computer Science": Zaur Alishanov - "The study of advanced models of management of e-government" under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Farkhad Yusifov, PhD in Engineering, Nurana Bahadurzade - "Selection of adaptive electronic textbooks in education using methods of intellectual analysis" under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Firudin Agayev, PhD in Engineering, and Elmurad Hasanov - "Application of machine learning methods for sentimental analysis of social network data" under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Makrufa Hajirahimova, PhD in Engineering.
Participants in the meetings asked the Master's students questions about each work. Academic Secretary of the Council Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, read out the reviews of the official reviewers and advisors of the Master's students. There followed an extensive discussion and analysis of the relevance of the candidates' dissertations, their presentation and research skills, recommendations and suggestions were voiced, the dissertations were evaluated according to the criteria established by the members of the Council.
As a result, the Specialized Council for the Defense of Master's Dissertations took an open vote on the basis of the evaluation results and decided to award each of the candidates with a Master's degree.
