The academician informed the participants of the meeting about the new appointment of the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullaev by the relevant decree to the Board of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education. A.Abbasov expressed confidence that the appointment of Ulker Sattarova, DSc in Engineering, to the post of Chair of the Board of the Agency will contribute to the development of science and education in the country.

 

A.Abbasov also brought to the attention of the participants the issue of nomination of candidates for the Presidential Award for Youth, discussions were held around this topic.

 

Then, Executive Director of ICS Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov reported on the main results of research works carried out at the Institute of Control Systems in 2023. The scientist told the council members in detail about 7 important scientific results obtained on the basis of 6 research works carried out in the Institute in the current year. The council members had a wide discussion on the topic and various questions were answered. Based on the discussions, the council members decided to revisit the issue.

 

A. Sadigov also reported on the issue of submitting reports on the required form of research works conducted in laboratories in 2023. Opinions were exchanged on this issue, and it was decided by open voting to submit the reports by the end of the current month.

 

Then the issue of submission of stages of research work to be carried out in the laboratories in 2024 was discussed, the relevant instructions of the Institute's administration were voiced.

 

Addressing another issue of the agenda, Head of the Education Department of ICS Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, presented to the council members the results of admission to the Institute's doctoral and dissertation programs for PhD and DSc training in 2023. The members of the council discussed the topics of dissertations, and relevant decisions were made by voting.
