Cooperation between the Institute of Control Systems and SABAH centers of universities was discussed

On November 3, 2023, a meeting was held between the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and SABAH centers of universities to discuss cooperation issues. The meeting was attended by Executive Director of ICS Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, Academic Secretary Zahra Azizova, Heads of Laboratory Assoc.Prof. Gulchin Abdullayeva, PhD in Mathematics, and Assoc.Prof. Adalat Pashayev, PhD in Mathematics, Head of Education Department Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, Head of the Executive Committee of SABAH groups of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Eldar Gojayev, Deputy Chairs of the Executive Committee Naila Gahramanova and Sevinj Aliyeva, Head of the SABAH Center of Baku State University Irada Suleymanova, Head of the SABAH Center of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University Arzu Ibrahimova and Head of the SABAH Center of Azerbaijan Technical University Ayten Sadigova.
At the meeting the issues of assigning topics of Master's dissertation works by leading scientists of ICS to Master's students enrolled in Master's programs of SABAH groups of universities, implementation of academic supervision of the work, organization of the students' research practice in ICS for their direct acquaintance with the work carried out in laboratories, etc. were widely discussed, and exchange of opinions on measures to be taken for the implementation of this work was held.
Eldar Gojaev, Head of the Executive Committee of SABAH groups, provided detailed information about the specialties of study in SABAH groups at the Master's level and noted that the program mainly covers the most modern technology-oriented specialties such as computer science and technology, artificial intelligence, cyber security, logistics and transportation, optimization, operations research and system, probability theory, etc.
Then, Executive Director of ICS Aminaga Sadigov positively assessed the establishment of mutual cooperation relations between ICS and SABAH centers of universities, emphasizing that the Institute will provide the necessary support to carry out this work step by step. He also emphasized the importance of holding seminars, lectures, master classes for graduate students at the ICS on topics covering computer science and technology, artificial intelligence, cyber security, etc., noting that these activities will be a new stage of cooperation between universities and research institutes.
