A meeting with a representative of the Belarus State Economic University was held at the Institute of Control Systems

On December 13, 2023, the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted a meeting with a representative of the Belarus State Economic University. The meeting was attended by General Director of ICS Academician Ali Abbasov, Head of the Department of International Relations and Innovation Tofig Babayev, PhD in Engineering, Head of the Public Relations Department Aygun Aliyeva, PhD in Economics, Director of the Department of Organization and Management of Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) Prof. Zahid Farrukh Mammadov, and Vice-Rector for Education of Belarus State Economic University Associate Professor Olga Morozevich. The main purpose of the meeting was to establish and develop cooperation between these institutions in the field of science and education.
Academician Ali Abbasov thanked the guest for the attention shown to the Institute and spoke in detail about the history and structure of the ICS, the main areas of activity, such as theoretical and applied control problems, artificial intelligence technologies and studies of socio-economic systems, as well as fundamental scientific research. The scientist talked about important scientific results achieved in the field of control systems, optimization and modeling, as well as obtained grants, patents and projects being implemented.
Then Associate Professor Olga Morozevich talked about the areas of activity of the scientific institution she represented, about the conditions created for Azerbaijani students studying at the university. She also spoke about the recently established Artificial Intelligence Center at the Belarus State University of Economics and invited scientists from ICS to the university to participate in scientific seminars. O. Morozevich voiced proposals for future exchange programs between the represented research institutions and expressed confidence in the development of bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting the possibilities of joint activities and prospects for further cooperation between the represented research institutions were discussed.
